To achieve curated patios and exteriors, my design process is to document the client’s existing site by using Google Earth, site maps, and existing photos to get views of the property. I then use AutoCAD and Photoshop to scale the size of the patio (or the photo I am rendering) and space plan. I then work in Sketchup and design custom pergolas for lounge spaces. While I am designing, I of course am keeping in mind the client’s budget and am in communication with furniture vendors and contractors to execute the dream into reality. It is important to have a clear vision for the client, so I create a presentation for the client to view and communicate with on customizations they would like to make to my designs.
